I’m Johnson Cook.
First things first… A dad of 3 delicious kiddos, husband of 12 years, addicted but slow runner, general aviation pilot, occasional swimmer, medium-to-poor golfer, very amateur musician (piano), and seeker of entrepreneurial energy. I love to be around it. I love to take it in, and I love to share it. I love to fix, build, and operate stuff using my hands (probably related to growing up on a farm).
After that… I’m an investor in awesome tech startups via Atlanta Ventures. I give elbow grease to our investments and programs, including the Atlanta Ventures Accelerator. I’m far too active in the Atlanta startup community, including a challenging and exhilarating responsibility building the awesome Atlanta Tech Village.
Previously the Founder of Quench Network (2012), Peach New Media (2009), and Impact Media Solutions (2001). Do the math, I started when I was 6′ish.
I’m a Yellow Jacket.
I believe that startups (both for-profit and non-profit) are a key to a healthy, happy society, full of satisfied people. I believe in the power of organized, structured associations and societies to help people find connections with each other and enable lifelong learning in any field.
