Music is serious energy for me. It helps me un-focus… and that’s how I move forward. I know some really intense folks who say that music does not help them as much as silence.  My problem is that silence allows my mind to focus on the urgent and immediate rather than the important.   When I engage with great music, either in my car, on a run, cruising on the boat, or even while flying an airplane (yeah, maybe a little risky) – my mind comes out of gear, and that’s when the epiphanies and light bulbs pop.

Here is my list, but I’d love to hear what music, songs, genre’s, artists inspire and motivate you. Add yours in the comments below.

ps. Just try and say I have narrow taste in music after you sample this list! ;)

So, did you find that got you a little fired up?

Thanks for sharing. I agree the right song can be a game changer. I like how you said it takes you away from the urgent immediate to the important. One section I would add to this is inspirational videos on YouTube

I favour a few tracks, especially when I am down and need a break. Although my list includes many Hindi songs (I’m from India), I do like these too:

Enjoy the ride (Morcheeba)Gained the world (Morcheeba)Live like you are dying (Tim Mcgraw)Have a nice day (Bon Jovi)Beautiful Day (U2)I believe I can fly (R Kelly)Eye of the tiger (Original / Sunset crew mix)Keep the faith (Bon Jovi)I hope you dance (LeeAnn Womack) (its a love song, but for entrepreneurs, their idea is the love of their lives, right? ;)It’s my life (Bon Jovi)Bad day (Daniel Powter)Dreams (Van Halen)
